This unit aims to enable learners to gain knowledge and understanding of the religious and non-religious arguments concerning at least two contentious issues in the modern world.

This is a great site on a range of contentious issues such as abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, etc. Explore the ethics, relationships and global issue links for at least two world religions such as Christianity and Islam. This site also gives non religious ideas. Click through all the numbered links on each site.

This is a reliable centrist paper in the UK. Use the search engines within for recent articles on your contentious issues.
The BBC News
This is a reliable centrist media organisation in the UK. Use the search engines within for recent articles on your contentious issues.
National Rifle Association - Gun Ownership Group in the USA.
This site will provide ideas in support of gun ownership in the USA.
Google
If your own search doesn't uncover anything obvious or suitable, try searching using what your are looking for and a suitable news organisation. This way, content is likely to be suitable. Eg, enter "USA gun ownership, the guardian" into the Google search bar. This search threw up this link in second place outlining in detail, why gun ownership is contentious.
